There is a new problem facing many businesses and hospitals in Bakersfield, CA. Many drug dealers and thieves are sealing cameras from building so they can use them to secure their own home. The most commonly stolen camera is the Infrared type of cameras but now the thieves are more daring and stealing the cameras in the middle of the day right off the sides of buildings.
This image above is of an unidentified Bakersfield man stealing a camera off the front of a hospital during the morning. The criminals then use them to fortify their homes so they have an advance warning if the police are coming to search their home with a warrant.
One way to help with this problem is to either purchase vandal proof cameras and to use cameras that have an alert when someone is trying to tamper with it.
